DRL Resource was established in 2002 to work primarily with End Users, Manufacturers & Agencies utilising a wide field of Foodservice Procurement practice straddling a 25 year period in industry. It is worth noting that at the end of 2009 despite a tough trading environment, the Eating Out market was valued at some £42 billion*.

Early Operational Management roles in Norfolk Capital & THF (Materials Management, HR, F&B, ) played a pivotal part in the necessary understanding of the business sharp end, leading to the development of a successful career within the field of Procurement across the Industry. 

Centralised roles with Forte, Granada & Compass embraced many categories of Food & Drink on behalf of some of the industries most complex players. This included company owned outlets, client locations, food factories & primary distribution. Understanding the value of effective sourcing and controlling  all aspects of the supply chain from field to table, delivered effective cost solutions for the divisional Specifiers from a flexible supply base. This period covered the interface with the prime source, manufacturers, brand holders, distributors & wholesalers whilst managing the cross functional demands of the budget holders.

Time at Aramark widened the experience radically to encompass the Non-Food categories also known as Indirects for Clients across a number of channels including business & industry, custodial, education, healthcare, vending, offshore and defence. Not only did this cover the traditional areas of Indirects but Directs & Soft FM.

Since 2002, the DRL business portfolio has covered a broad range of client activity.
